Halloween Costume Photo Contest

Who runs it and who can enter

• Run by 64157 LLC, owner of 64157.com, PO Box 12532, Kansas City, MO 64116.
• Free to enter. No purchase necessary. You don't need to subscribe to the newsletter to enter or win.
• Open to people who live in or near ZIP 64157, including Liberty and the Kansas City Northland.
• Entrants must be 18 or older. A parent or guardian enters for anyone under 18 and gives the permissions below on their behalf.
• Not eligible: the people who run 64157.com and their households.

Photo rules

• Up to 2 photos per household per category.
• You must have taken the photo, or have permission from whoever did.
• Everyone pictured, or their parent or guardian, must be okay with the photo being shared.
• No nudity, weapons that look real, or anything mean-spirited, and no other people's logos or ads.
• Light edits are fine. No AI-generated or heavily altered photos.

Judging and winners

• One winner per category, chosen by the 64157.com team for creativity, effort, and fun. Judges' decisions are final.
• Winners are announced in the newsletter and on 64157.com by first name and last initial only, never a street address.
• We email winners before announcing to confirm names and permission. If we don't hear back by noon the day before the announcement, we may choose another winner.
• Prizes can't be traded for cash. When a local business donates a prize, that business provides it, and we'll say so. Any prize worth $600 or more comes with tax paperwork.
• If we get too few entries in a category, we may combine categories or skip a winner.

Using your photo

• You keep ownership of your photo. By entering, you let 64157.com show it, with the first names you gave us, in the newsletter, on 64157.com, and on 64157.com's social media pages, at no charge.
• Want it taken down? Email hello@64157.com and we'll remove it from the website and our pages within 14 days. We can't recall emails already sent.
• Your email address stays private. We use it only to run the contest. Entering doesn't sign you up for anything.
• Kids' photos show first names only, never last names, schools, or locations.

The fine print

• We can disqualify entries that break these rules or that we believe are unfair.
• If something outside our control disrupts the contest, we may change the dates or cancel it and will post the change on 64157.com.
• Facebook doesn't sponsor, endorse, or run this contest.
• Missouri law applies. Void where prohibited.
